WDCS and out of the
blue are delighted
to offer a stunning
program of
responsible whale
and dolphin watching
vacations for 2008.

Highlights include:
- A Canadian live aboard adventure to see the orcas, eagles and totems of British Columbia.
- The thrill of watching whales - including WDCS’s adopted humpback whales - in the waters off Cape Cod, New England.
- An Alaskan Odyssey to see the ‘bubble net’ feeding behavior of humpback whales, grizzly bears fishing for salmon and majestic glaciers calving into mountain fjords.
- Or, for the ultimate adventure, join whale expert and author, Erich Hoyt on the trip of a lifetime to Antarctica!
For 2008 we are again offering a fantastic range
of vacations including our ever-popular New England Whale Watch (New England is truly one of the best places to see whales in all of the US) and
a wonderful Canadian Odyssey to see the orcas,
humpback whales and grizzly bears of British
Columbia. Or, for the ultimate adventure, why not
join whale expert and author, Erich Hoyt, on the
trip of a lifetime to Antarctica!

We hope you find something here to whet your
appetite and look forward to welcoming you on
an unforgettable trip to witness these spectacular
animals in their natural environment.
Not all
out of the blue trips are the same! They
are, of course, all fun, however, some tours are
more adventurous, some more relaxing; some
have a stronger bias towards conservation work
than others; some deal with one species, others
with many; some charter boats for day trips,
others are liveaboard holidays. There is enough
variety in destinations and types to suit most
tastes, interests, and of course budgets!

When you book with
out of the blue,
we can guarantee that not only will you be
traveling with some of the world’s most
experienced whale and dolphin experts, you’ll
also be making a vital and much needed
contribution to whale and dolphin conservation,
plus you’ll have a wonderful time!
Chief elements of an
out of the blue trip
will include:
• Magical and life-changing encounters with
wild whales and dolphins
• Staying close to and learning from local
conservation researchers
• Engaging with, and learning about local
conservation, the region and wildlife
• Getting to know the local people and
sampling the local culture
• Meeting like-minded people with similar
interests
• Having a great time!
Help us keep them wild, free and safe for
future generations to see!

Something Extra Special for 2008
Guided by WDCS’s Senior Research Fellow,
Erich Hoyt, one of the world’s leading whale and
dolphin experts and author of more than a dozen
books, this journey takes us to one of the world’s
most awe inspiring destinations. With visits along
the way through the South Shetland Islands we
arrive on the Antarctic Peninsula and are dazzled
by some of the most dramatic scenery anywhere
on earth.
Sailing aboard our well-appointed expedition
vessel, we see Antarctic nature in all its glory.
These areas boast an extraordinary abundance of
wildlife, including humpback and minke whales,
orcas, five species of seal and gentoo, Adelie
and chinstrap penguins, as well as a profusion of
seabirds from albatross to skuas.
